• Account data: Email address and password (or other sign-in credentials) when you create an account. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.
• Habit data: Habits you create, completion history, and scheduling preferences (e.g., daily, weekly). This data is stored and synced via Google Firestore so you can use Slate across devices.
• Settings: App settings such as display preferences and notification options, stored in association with your account.
• Device data: We may collect device identifiers or similar technical data as needed for sync, security, or to improve the service. If we add analytics in the future, we will describe them here.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve Slate; to sync your habits and completions across your devices; to authenticate you; and to respond to your requests or inquiries. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account and habit data are stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore). We rely on industry-standard security practices. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and habit data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your data in accordance with our retention practices and applicable law.

7. Children

Slate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
